Metabolic Psychiatry Scholar Award

About this program

Baszucki Group’s Metabolic Psychiatry Scholar Award provides up to $150,000 USD over 18 months to support exceptional early-career scientists and clinicians conducting translational or clinical research at the intersection of metabolic health and mental health, with mentorship, training, communication support, and networking. Priority topics include mechanisms and clinical evaluation of metabolic therapies (e.g., therapeutic nutritional ketosis), embedding metabolic approaches into clinical practice, genetics, novel treatment combinations, and implementation science. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent and have a faculty or equivalent independent investigator position at a nonprofit or international equivalent institution, be 2–6 years into their first independent position as of the LOI deadline, and may not currently be funded by Baszucki Group. International applicants and multidisciplinary approaches are encouraged; all materials must be submitted in English.
