About this program

Found Animals’ Michelson Prize & Grants program (a $75M initiative) funds research to rapidly develop a permanent, single‑dose, nonsurgical sterilant for male and female cats and dogs. Investigators may submit a letter of intent (LOI) at any time—LOIs are generally reviewed within one month and approved LOIs are invited to submit full proposals. LOIs must be in English, limited to three typed pages with 3/4" margins and 11‑point Arial or Helvetica, and include investigator contact details, a descriptive title, the proposed approach and rationale, an overview of required research, and confirmation that specified online resources were reviewed. Injectable or implantable delivery is preferred, bait/feed products will not be considered, preliminary data or a pilot proof‑of‑concept is recommended, and final funding decisions rest with Found Animals.
