Found Animals offers the $25 million Michelson Prize in Reproductive Biology to the first entity to develop a low-cost, permanent, single-dose, nonsurgical sterilant for male and female cats and dogs. The product must be safe and effective, ablate sex steroids or their effects, support field administration and regulatory approval, and have a feasible manufacturing process and cost. Scientists developing qualifying technologies may also seek Michelson Grants of up to $250,000 per year; grant projects may address only certain species or sexes if they promise significant improvement over existing approaches.
