MicKenzie Fasteland Conference Accessibility Grant

About this program

The Children’s Literature Association offers the MicKenzie Fasteland Conference Accessibility Grant to support disabled and chronically ill scholars presenting at its in-person annual conference. Recipients receive a complimentary room at the conference hotel for four nights, reducing accessibility-related expenses and improving conference access. Applicants may have visible or invisible, diagnosed or undiagnosed, temporary or chronic disabilities, mental illness, or neurodivergence, and priority is given to those without sufficient institutional support or who did not receive the grant in the previous cycle. Applications, due February 28, must include a cover sheet, personal statement of up to 1,000 words, abbreviated CV, and proof of paper acceptance.
