About this program

The American Sociological Association’s Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) provides funded fellowships for predoctoral sociology graduate students, offering a monthly living stipend, professional development funds, travel and accommodations to two ASA Annual Meetings, plus mentorship and networking to cultivate a diverse and highly trained disciplinary leadership. Since 1974 the MFP has supported over 500 predoctoral scholars; applications open each November. Eligibility is limited to predoctoral sociology graduate students—consult the ASA MFP webpage or contact diversity@asanet.org for detailed application requirements and deadlines.
