About this program
The Modern Language Association’s Award for Lifetime Scholarly Achievement honors a distinguished MLA member’s lifelong contributions to scholarship and is now presented biennially. MLA members may recommend candidates by submitting a brief nomination letter and the nominee’s website address, or supplemental descriptive materials if no website is available. Recommendations must be emailed to the LSA Review Committee at awards@mla.org by 31 January 2027, and all submissions and related comments will remain confidential.
