About this program
The Mycological Society of America’s Interchange Invitee Award supports up to two exceptional scientists from underrepresented communities each year by funding travel, housing, sustenance, and registration to attend and present research at the MSA annual meeting. Applicants may be at any academic level from undergraduate onward, must conduct research in mycology, and may be new or recent MSA members who have not previously attended an MSA meeting. Applications require a form, a maximum three-page CV, a research description and MSA meeting abstract, and one recommendation letter or personal statement; self-nominations are welcome. The award is not available for 2026.
