MSTA Mini-Grant (up to $1,000, 4 awards)

About this program

The Michigan Science Teachers Association (MSTA) is offering up to four mini-grants of $1,000 each to current MSTA members to support classroom- or education-related projects. Winners will be notified by the end of September 2025 and receive the $1,000 up front, with grant funds requiring documentation of expenses; projects must be completed by August 15, 2026 and a final report with evaluation of outcomes is required. Eligible applicants must be current MSTA members and submit a one-page Grant Narrative (purpose/needs/target audience), a one-page Project Description (goals, expected outcomes, evaluation methods, timeline), and a detailed budget with itemized costs and any in‑kind support. Awardees are strongly encouraged to present at the 2026 MSTA Annual Conference and are required to submit an article for one of MSTA’s newsletters or journals (May Newsletter is the final publication deadline).
