MSTA Mini Grants

About this program

The Michigan Science Teachers Association is offering up to four MSTA Mini Grants of $1,000 each to support classroom or education projects; applicants must be current MSTA members. Projects must be completed by August 15, 2027; winners will be notified by the end of August 2026, must submit a final report evaluating outcomes, are strongly encouraged to present at the 2027 MSTA Annual Conference, and must provide an article for publication in one of MSTA’s newsletters or journals (May Newsletter is the final publication deadline). Applications require a grant narrative: Purpose of Grant (max 1 page), Project Description with goals/outcomes/evaluation and timelines (max 1 page), and a detailed budget with itemized costs and in‑kind support; payment details indicate funds are released upon demonstration of expenses though the page also states winners will receive $1,000 up front.
