MSTA Mini Grants

About this program

The Michigan Science Teachers Association offers up to four mini‑grants of $1,000 each to current MSTA members to support classroom or education‑related projects; winners will be notified by the end of August 2026 and projects must be completed by August 15, 2027. Awards provide $1,000 for project expenses (the listing indicates payment may be issued up front or released upon demonstration of expenses), and winners are strongly encouraged to present at the 2027 MSTA Annual Conference. Eligible applicants must be current MSTA members and submit a grant narrative including: (1) Purpose of Grant — statement of need and target audience (≤1 page); (2) Description of Project — goals, expected outcomes, evaluation methods, timeline (≤1 page); and (3) Budget Details with itemized costs and any in‑kind support. Winners are required to submit a final report evaluating outcomes and to provide an article for one of MSTA’s newsletters or journals (final publication opportunity: May newsletter); apply via the MSTA application link.
