Recognition Award in Medical, Urban, & Veterinary Entomology

About this program

Sponsored by S.C. Johnson and administered by the Entomological Society of America’s Medical, Urban, and Veterinary Entomology Section, this annual recognition award honors outstanding research, teaching, outreach/extension, or service advancing entomology related to human health, residential environments, livestock, or companion animals. The award includes an inscribed plaque and a monetary prize based on endowment interest, presented at the ESA Annual Meeting.

Nominees must be current MUVE members with significant contributions to the field; industry candidates, prior recipients, and individuals whose cited accomplishments have already earned a widely recognized scientific award are generally ineligible. Nominations may be submitted by anyone and must include a CV, nomination letter, up to three recommendation letters, and an accomplishments summary in an electronic package of no more than 20 pages, submitted by June 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.
