About this program

The American Chemical Society (ACS) offers the Sustainable Futures Early Career Postdoctoral-Faculty Bridge Grant to support postdoctoral fellows/associates in transitioning to independent academic research careers focused on green and sustainable chemistry. The grant provides a two-year salary of up to $125,000 for the postdoctoral fellow, including benefits and travel, with no overhead costs allowed. Eligible applicants must be at a U.S. institution, have no more than five years of postdoctoral experience, and have started their faculty position no earlier than August 2024. Recipients are required to participate in ACS green chemistry training, teach a course incorporating sustainable chemistry, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing the field.
