About this program

The American Chemical Society offers the Rising Stars in Green Chemistry Education Award, recognizing early-career scholars for their dedication to integrating green chemistry and sustainability into chemistry and chemical engineering curricula. Awardees receive a certificate, $1,000, and travel support to attend the annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference, where they present their work and join a network of ACS GCI awardees.

Eligible applicants must be within seven years of completing their terminal degree or post-doctoral appointment, or within the first seven years of an academic teaching career. Curricula submissions should demonstrate student success and align with green chemistry principles, including traditional and non-traditional teaching methods and research laboratory mentoring.
