Non-BPS Meetings Bursary (Travel Bursary)

About this program

British Pharmacological Society offers the Non‑BPS Meetings Travel Bursary to support members presenting abstracts at meetings not organised by the Society, covering early‑bird registration and a portion of travel and accommodation (maximum £750 per meeting and per year; up to 50% for Full Members and Fellows and up to 75% for Undergraduates and Early Career Members). Applicants must be existing BPS members (Affiliate Members ineligible), have submitted an abstract and intend to present in person as the sole presenter; invited talks are eligible only if the event organiser provides no support. Applications are considered at four annual deadlines (1 March, 1 June, 1 September, 1 December) for specified meeting windows, are assessed against scoring criteria and dependent on limited funds, with notification within four weeks of each deadline. Recipients must submit a claim form within four weeks of the meeting close with receipts, the bursary confirmation email and a certificate of presentation for payment (normally to the applicant’s bank account); poster printing, visas and subsistence are not reimbursed.
