The Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy offers one annual $20,000 Norine Johnson, Ph.D., Psychotherapy Research Grant to support empirical research on psychotherapy relationships, processes, or outcomes. Funds may initiate or supplement research and are awarded in a lump sum, with no indirect costs permitted. Eligible applicants are doctoral-level early career psychologists within 10 years of earning their degree, Society members, and researchers with demonstrated competence and a successful publication record; IRB approval is required before funding for studies involving human participants. Applications are due March 1 and must include a project proposal, research-focused CV, biosketch, timeline, and budget.
