Norman Beery Memorial Scholarship for First Generation College Students

The American Statistical Association offers the $3,000 Norman Beery Memorial Scholarship to support first-generation college students pursuing statistics, biostatistics, or a science program that substantially incorporates statistics. Funds may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, books, and housing, with preference given to undergraduates and applicants demonstrating financial need. Applicants must be first-generation students, have a high-school or college GPA of at least 3.0, and be enrolled or planning to enroll in an eligible program. Applications are due March 1 and require a résumé, personal statement, GPA and enrollment documentation, and a signed recommendation letter confirming first-generation status.
