North Star Fellowship — Fellowship for Black, Brown, and Indigenous media artists and filmmakers

Presented by BlackStar Projects in partnership with the Camden International Film Festival and the William & Louise Greaves Filmmaker Seminar, the North Star Fellowship funds and convenes four Black, Brown, and Indigenous media artists and filmmakers developing experimental creative nonfiction projects spanning film, video installation, audio, photo-based work, immersive experiences, and performance. Fellows join two intensive convenings — a weeklong retreat and festival programming at CIFF and the spring Greaves Filmmaker Seminar — receiving workshops, screenings, mentorship, and industry networking. Applicants must identify as Black, Brown, or Indigenous and be working in or expanding the aesthetics and practices of nonfiction and multidisciplinary media; four fellows are selected.
