Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award

The American Accounting Association offers the 2026 Notable Contribution to Accounting Literature Award, recognizing exceptional accounting research with the potential to introduce consequential new beliefs or perspectives and influence future scholarship, education, practice, or regulation. The recipient receives an award and $2,500, presented at the AAA Annual Meeting. Eligible works must have appeared in print in a journal issue during 2021–2025 and demonstrate originality, broad potential impact, methodological rigor, clarity, and innovative content; related publications with the same author group may be jointly nominated if they meet all requirements. Any individual or group may nominate, including self-nominations, by January 31 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, submitting the work and a nomination letter of no more than 500 words.
