Omaha Neighborhood Grants

About this program

The Omaha Neighborhood Grants program, administered through the Omaha Foundation’s Community Interest Funds, provides small grants to support resident‑led neighborhood projects that build leadership, foster neighbor collaboration, and advance safety, beautification, organization, and civic engagement. Up to $80,000 in total grants are awarded annually (average award ~$2,500); applications are submitted via the online portal January 1–March 1, awards are announced in May, and projects must be completed within the award year. Eligible applicants are neighborhood associations or groups located within Omaha city limits and listed in the City of Omaha Neighborhood Directory; 501(c)(3) status is not required and the resident‑led committee may waive requirements for critical community needs, with project support available through One Omaha.
