One-time financial assistance grants for professional musicians

About this program

Musicians Foundation, Inc. provides one-time emergency financial assistance grants to professional musicians of all genres who are facing unexpected hardships—such as medical or dental emergencies, natural disasters, or qualifying housing crises—with award amounts determined case-by-case and issued as vendorized checks payable to the biller. Applicants must be U.S. residents who have worked as professional performers, composers/arrangers, or educators in the United States for at least five years and have filed taxes as a musician for five or more years (a recent tax return is required). The online application has two parts—Part 1 for initial eligibility screening and, if invited, a Part 2 requiring additional documentation—and submissions are reviewed by a screening committee that may request follow-up materials; approved grants are communicated by email and mailed the same day.
