The Electrochemical Society’s Organic and Biological Electrochemistry Division offers the Manuel M. Baizer Award to recognize outstanding achievements in the electrochemistry of organic and organometallic compounds, biological and bio-inspired systems, carbon-based polymers, biomass, and related applications. The award includes a scroll, USD $1,000, discretionary travel support, and an award lecture at the ECS Spring Meeting in even years. Eligible research may be fundamental or applied but excludes electroanalytical methods and purely physical electrochemistry. Nominations, accepted from October 15 of even years through January 15 of odd years, require an electronic form, CV, nomination letter, and two to five support letters; the award may recognize up to two co-recipients.
