About this program
The National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) offers the Outstanding Earth Science Teacher (OEST) Award to recognize exceptional K–12 earth science educators at the state/province and Section levels. Awardees receive formal recognition, including certificates or plaques, publication opportunities, and promotion through NAGT and related events. Teachers must be nominated through the appropriate NAGT Section nomination form by February 1; nominations remain eligible for consideration for up to three years. Award recipients must provide a brief narrative, photograph, and contact information by April 1.
