Outstanding Psychologist Award

About this program

Division 31 of the American Psychological Association offers the Outstanding Psychologist Award to honor a psychologist for distinguished service, leadership, and advocacy through state, provincial, or territorial psychological associations (SPTAs). The award recognizes individuals who have significantly advanced psychology and client interests and served as role models for participation in organized psychology. Nominees must be volunteer SPTA members with demonstrated leadership, advocacy, distinguished service, and sustained engagement in organized psychology. Nominations are due June 1, 2027, and must include a nominator’s letter detailing the nominee’s qualifications and the nominee’s curriculum vitae, with no more than three recommendation letters submitted to the Division 31 past president.
