Outstanding Public Service Award

About this program

The Archaeological Institute of America offers the Outstanding Public Service Award to recognize exceptional contributions that advance public understanding of, interest in, and support for archaeology and archaeological preservation. The award may honor an individual, organization, institution, or corporation and may not be presented annually. Nominations may be submitted by any AIA member or committee; nominees need not be AIA members, and submissions must include a detailed statement of the candidate’s contributions. Completed nominations are due April 1, 2027, for consideration at the following Annual Meeting.
