Patrick Leary Resource Development Grant

About this program

The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers one Patrick Leary Resource Development Grant annually, with awards of up to $27,500, to support individual or collaborative projects that expand research capacity in British newspapers and periodicals of the long nineteenth century (ca. 1780–1914). Eligible projects may include publications, digital tools, indices, bibliographies, digitization, workshops, and technology demonstrations, and all resulting resources must be freely accessible to researchers. Applicants need not be RSVP members, but projects must advance the field and funds must be spent within one year; RSVP officers and directors are ineligible. Applications are due March 15, with letters due March 31.
