Paul Andrew Spudich Travel Grants

About this program

The Seismological Society of America offers Paul Andrew Spudich Travel Grants to support scientific travel by student and early-career members researching earthquake source physics or ground motion prediction. Grants of up to $3,500 will fund eligible travel occurring April 2027 through March 2028, with applications opening in February 2027 and due February 28, 2027. Applicants must have maintained SSA student or early-career membership in good standing for at least three months before the application period and attend a meeting directly related to the specified research areas. Student applicants require a faculty advisor’s support letter, while early-career applicants require a letter from an advisor or supervisor; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
