About this program
The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (PCNA) Advocacy Award recognizes members who demonstrate leadership in cardiovascular disease prevention or advancement of the nursing profession through legislative, grassroots, or media advocacy. The award includes recognition at the PCNA Annual Cardiovascular Nursing Symposium, complimentary registration, travel reimbursement, and a three-night hotel stay.
Applicants must be current PCNA members and may self-nominate or be nominated by others; recipients must attend the symposium and provide a 500-word advocacy article for PCNA communications. Nominations must include the completed form, two letters of support from health professional colleagues, and a current CV, and are due by December 6.
