About this program

The Gerber Foundation funds applied pediatric research focused on improving the health, nutrition, and development of infants and young children from pre-birth through age 3. Supported projects address pediatric health, nutrition, or environmental hazards and should produce new information, treatments, diagnostic techniques, or tools that can change practice and be implemented broadly. Applicants should propose practical, provider-focused research addressing common or emerging problems, with a clear and predictable path to clinical application; projects limited to parent or caregiver education are rarely funded.
