Peter Henderson MD Memorial Award

About this program

The Association of Directors of Psychiatry Residency Training (AADPRT) offers the Peter Henderson MD Memorial Award to recognize the best published or unpublished scholarly work in child and adolescent psychiatry, with preference for projects addressing psychiatric education. The recipient receives a $500 honorarium and coverage of expenses to attend the AADPRT Annual Meeting; nominations are due September 22. Applicants must be current general psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, or graduates within the past two years, and the manuscript must have been completed during training, reviewed by the program director, and demonstrate substantial contribution by the trainee, who must be first author if co-authored. The nominating program director and institution must maintain current AADPRT membership, and institutions that won may not submit nominees for two years.
