Peter Kong-ming New Student Research Competition

About this program

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) offers the annual Peter Kong-ming New Student Research Competition to recognize outstanding student papers based on original social science field research addressing health care or human services. Awards include $3,000, $1,500, and $750, along with travel support and lodging for the SfAA Annual Meeting; the first-place winner must present the paper and submit it to Human Organization for review. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled during the calendar year preceding the award presentation; doctoral degree holders are ineligible. Submissions must be single-authored, unpublished, substantially revised from any thesis or paper, anonymized, and no longer than 45 double-spaced pages, with a November 30 deadline.
