Peter Kong-ming New Student Research Competition

About this program

The Society for Applied Anthropology’s Peter Kong-ming New Student Research Competition recognizes outstanding student research applying the social sciences to health care or human services. Awards include $3,000, $1,500, and $750, with each recipient receiving travel support and lodging for the SfAA Annual Meeting; the first-place winner must present the paper and submit it to Human Organization for review.

Applicants must have been enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students during the calendar year preceding the award, and doctorate holders are ineligible. Submissions must be single-authored, substantially revised, unpublished manuscripts based on original field research, no longer than 45 pages, and submitted in anonymized form by November 30.
