About this program

The Nature Photography Foundation's Photo Blind Grant Program provides up to $1,500 in funding to support the construction or modification of photo blinds at wildlife refuges, parks, and natural areas, with a track record of establishing 47 blinds across 29 states since 1997. Grants are available exclusively to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and organized groups such as camera clubs, bird-watching groups, and land trusts. Applicants must secure written approval from landowners or land managers, have the blind sited by a wildlife photographer to ensure optimal conditions for non-captive wildlife photography, and submit basic construction plans and materials lists. Recipients are required to provide progress documentation, recruit volunteer labor for construction, maintain the facility, and provide appropriate Foundation recognition through signage and space for promotional materials.
