Pinnacle Research Award in Liver Diseases

About this program

The AASLD Foundation’s Pinnacle Research Award in Liver Diseases provides $300,000 over three years ($100,000 annually) to support basic science research in liver physiology and disease and help early-career investigators transition to independent research careers. Eligible applicants must be within five years of their first faculty appointment, be AASLD members, commit at least 50% effort to the project, and hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD (as applicable to the research career). Applicants must be sponsored by an eligible nonprofit institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico and have an AASLD-member mentor or co-mentor; the deadline is December 7, 2026.
