Pinnacle Research Award in Liver Diseases

About this program

The AASLD Foundation offers the three-year Pinnacle Research Award in Liver Diseases, providing $300,000 ($100,000 annually) for basic science research to help early-career investigators advance toward independent liver disease research careers. Applicants must be within five years of their first faculty appointment, be AASLD members, devote at least 50% effort to the project, and have an AASLD-member mentor or co-mentor. Projects must be conducted at an eligible nonprofit institution in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, and applicants may not hold comparable early-career salary-support awards. Applications are due December 7, 2026.
