Pirani Travel Award

About this program

The Renal Pathology Society's Pirani Travel Award provides up to US $1,000 to help junior RPS members presenting an accepted abstract at an international meeting cover travel expenses, honoring the legacy of Dr. Conrad Pirani. Eligible applicants are RPS members who are junior faculty (instructor or assistant professor) or renal pathology fellows with an accepted abstract and documented financial need; applicants may be U.S.-based traveling abroad or based outside the U.S. traveling to an RPS-sponsored or endorsed event. Nominations (from RPS or non-RPS members) must be emailed to the Nomination & Award Committee Chair and include a letter of support and/or a program director/mentor letter validating need plus the candidate's CV; a call for nominations is issued by Sept 15 at the latest each year and nominators have two weeks to submit.
