Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grants for Visual Artists

About this program

The Pollock-Krasner Foundation awards unrestricted grants—typically up to $50,000, with size determined by individual need—to exceptional professional visual artists (painters, sculptors, and artists who work on paper, including printmakers) to support creation of new work, supplies, studio rent, exhibition preparation, residencies, and living expenses for generally a one-year period. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no deadline, and awards are decided by a Selection Committee and specialist panel. Eligible applicants are actively exhibiting professional visual artists; the Foundation does not fund students or academic study and excludes commercial art, graphic art, video, generative art, performance, filmmaking, craft, and most photography. Apply online only with a completed application, cover letter, artist statement, current resume with exhibition record, and ten high-quality digital images of work completed within the past ten years; review typically takes nine to twelve months and reapplicants must observe the Foundation’s 12-month waiting rules.
