POSNA Microgrant

About this program

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) offers Microgrants of up to $2,500 for one-year projects to support pilot studies, resident/student research or travel, nontraditional education, quality/safety/value initiatives, advocacy, and global outreach that advance musculoskeletal care for children and adolescents. Applications are evaluated on relevance to the POSNA mission, originality, methods, investigator/institutional capacity, and budget/timeline feasibility, with preference given to projects aligned with the POSNA Clinical Research Agenda. All dues‑paying POSNA members in good standing are eligible; residents and fellows may apply only with a sponsoring POSNA member who will ensure project completion, prior microgrant recipients within 6 months are ineligible, each investigator may submit two proposals per cycle but receive only one award, and funds may not be used for indirect costs, faculty salary, administrative overhead, or POSNA committee activities.
