POSNA Peter Armstrong QSVI Grant

About this program

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) offers the Peter Armstrong QSVI Grant to fund one quality and patient-safety project per year, providing up to $30,000 for a one-year project to support development and implementation of QI and patient-safety programming. Eligible projects include performance measures, patient safety checklists, appropriate use criteria, clinical practice guidelines, and related advocacy; applications must include an abstract, specific aims, background/significance, any preliminary data, research design and methods (with analysis plan, timeline, and locations), and a budget justification. The Principal Investigator must be a Candidate or Active POSNA member in good standing; non‑orthopaedic MDs, PhDs, or DVMs may apply only if affiliated with an orthopaedic department and partnered with a POSNA orthopaedic surgeon as Co-PI. Current POSNA grant recipients (except microgrant awardees) are ineligible until their existing project and final reports are complete, and proposals are evaluated primarily on impact and feasibility.
