POSNA Research Grant

About this program

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) offers the POSNA Research Grant providing up to $30,000 total for basic science and clinical research in non‑spine pediatric orthopaedics, with three awards annually for projects of 1–2 years; proposals must clearly state clinical relevance and are scored on significance, innovation, scientific quality, investigator track record, feasibility, and potential for future funding. Eligible applicants must have the PI or Co‑PI as a Candidate or Active POSNA member in good standing; non‑orthopaedic MDs, PhDs, or DVMs may apply if affiliated with an orthopaedic department and partnered with an orthopaedic surgeon/POSNA member as Co‑PI. Current POSNA grant/award recipients (except microgrant recipients) are generally ineligible until their funded work and final reports are completed, with limited exceptions for co‑investigators owed less than $5,000; applicants may also apply concurrently for named awards by indicating eligibility and submitting required supplemental materials.
