Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (MHSAS)

Funded by SAMHSA and administered by the Minority Fellowship Program, the MHSAS Postdoctoral Fellowship provides specialized postdoctoral training to early-career psychologists to strengthen culturally competent behavioral health services, prevention, and policy for communities of color. The program seeks to increase the number of psychologists from communities of color delivering services to underserved populations while enhancing clinical competencies and analytic skills in public policy, legislation, and implementation. Eligible applicants are early-career psychologists with primary interests in behavioral health services or policy related to communities of color; strongest candidates are those receiving clinical and policy-focused training and who are practitioners or aspiring policymakers. Applications are open with a deadline of January 15, 2026.
