About this program

F.R.S.-FNRS (Fund for Scientific Research) funds fundamental research at French‑speaking universities in the Wallonia‑Brussels Federation through a portfolio of fellowships and contracts, including CR postdoctoral fellowships (3 years, with possible 6‑year use if external postdoc funding is secured), part‑time CSPD for medical doctors, SPD/CCL clinical fellowships with a probation/renewal pathway, Télévie‑linked postdoctoral posts, and the ULYSSE MISU mobility grant (up to 3 years) for researchers relocating to a WBF university. Eligible applicants are doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, accredited clinical specialists, and senior researchers affiliated with WBF French‑speaking universities; MISU applicants must be highly qualified researchers paid abroad with an excellent ten‑year track record and international recognition. Awards are allocated by peer review on the basis of scientific excellence and each scheme carries specific duration and career‑stage conditions (e.g., CSPD timing relative to specialization, CQ→MR and MR→DR promotion rules).
