President's Early Researcher (Post-Doctoral) Award

The Australian Mammal Society awards the President’s Early Researcher (Post-Doctoral) Award to recognise excellence in significant research undertaken during the post‑doctoral period by a Society member; the prize is a recognition presented at the Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting and no monetary amount is specified. Applicants must be members of the Australian Mammal Society and within five years of their PhD award (one further year allowed up to the meeting opening), and the awardee is expected to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting and present a paper. Applications require the President’s Early Researcher Award form plus a summary of work carried out in the five years following the PhD and a list of relevant papers, reports, proceedings and awards; submissions are assessed by a panel appointed by the Society President and calls for nominations are issued at least three months before the meeting (closing date coincides with the conference abstract deadline).
