Prix Henriette Walter Article Prize for Master’s and Doctoral Students

About this program

The Association for French Language Studies (AFLS) offers the Prix Henriette Walter to recognize an original article by a master’s or doctoral student in theoretical or applied French linguistics. The award provides £300 and two years of AFLS membership; for co-authored submissions, the monetary prize is shared while each author receives membership. Applicants must submit an unpublished, anonymized 4,000–5,000-word article in English or French, with 150–200-word abstracts in both languages, formatted according to Journal of French Language Studies guidelines, by 15 October. Submissions may address any relevant topic but must demonstrate originality, a clear theoretical framework or appropriate research design, and strong scholarly writing and organization.
