About this program

The Australian Pain Society offers the Professor Michael Cousins AO Allied Health Practitioner ASM Travel Grant to support an Allied Health Practitioner APS member to present an accepted oral or poster abstract at the APS Annual Scientific Meeting, providing complimentary early-bird ASM registration plus $500 toward travel and accommodation. Applicants must be current or past APS members with membership verifiable for at least five years, be Australian citizens, permanent residents or hold a valid visa, be based in Australia and reside outside the metropolitan area of the conference city, and only one author (the major contributor) per abstract may apply. Applicants must indicate an EOI during abstract submission and submit the Travel Grant application form and a CV (maximum four pages) to the APS Secretariat by 5pm on 30 November; successful applicants are notified before the end of early-bird registration and payment is made by EFT after attendance and presentation at the ASM. The award is granted at the Scholarship‑Grants Selection Subcommittee’s discretion, may only be received once per recipient, and may be suspended or withdrawn if the ASM is cancelled or converted to hybrid/virtual formats under specified conditions.
