About this program

The APA Division 18 Psychologists in Public Service Distinguished Career Award honors psychologists with sustained, outstanding contributions to underserved populations through public-service research, teaching, program development, clinical practice, advocacy, or leadership. Nominees should demonstrate significant long-term impact, including advancing public-service psychology, improving systems or programs, mentoring future leaders, or strengthening services for underserved communities. Nominations require a supporting letter, the nominee’s curriculum vitae, and two additional letters of support; materials are due annually on May 31 and should be submitted to president@publicservicepsych.org.
