About this program

Radcliffe Engaged Student Grant Program (Radcliffe Institute at Harvard) awards $1,500 per project to support Harvard undergraduate and graduate student research, creative, or original service projects aligned with Radcliffe’s focus areas—currently emphasizing climate change (including climate justice) and academic freedom/connecting across difference. Projects may be individual or group proposals, should have discrete anticipated outcomes, must be completed by the end of September, and recipients join a summer student cohort that receives mentoring and biweekly meetings. Eligibility is limited to currently matriculated, degree-seeking Harvard undergraduates and graduate students; students on leave or not continuing into the subsequent fall are ineligible, and only one application per project is accepted. Funds are awarded directly to students, service projects must be research-grounded, human-subjects work requires proof of IRB submission or approval with the proposal, and grant recipients must submit a brief final report.
