Rasmuson Foundation Tier 1 Grants

About this program

The Rasmuson Foundation’s Tier 1 Grants program provides up to $35,000, typically $5,000–$20,000, for small capital projects and one-time investments benefiting Alaskans, including equipment, renovations, technology, vehicles, and cultural projects. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed on a rolling basis, with decisions generally issued within 90 days. Eligible applicants include Alaska-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits established at least one year, local or Tribal governments, and qualifying faith-based organizations; individuals are not eligible. Projects must demonstrate community impact and may not support core government functions, deficits, scholarships, fundraising, or previously purchased items.
