Research Excellence Award

About this program

The Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) Research Excellence Award recognizes a CAG member for outstanding basic and/or clinical research in gastroenterology; the recipient is invited to give a lecture and formally accept the award at Canadian Digestive Diseases Week™ (CDDW™) (no monetary prize specified). Eligible nominees must hold an appointment at a Canadian university, hospital, or research institute and be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant resident, and both nominators and nominees must have been CAG members in good standing for at least three years. Nominations require a form completed in one session with a Letter of Support and the nominee’s CV submitted by September 30 at 11:59 PM ET (late submissions considered the following year); CAG Research Affairs reviews nominations and the Board selects the recipient based on research record, with only the awardee notified.
