Eisenhower Foundation Research Travel Grants

About this program

The Eisenhower Foundation offers competitive Research Travel Grants of up to $1,000 to support individual scholars conducting primary-source research at the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, Kansas, across fields including history, government, economics, communications, and international affairs. Funds cover a portion of eligible travel and local research expenses, and travel must occur within one year of the award. Applicants must submit a completed application, an archival materials availability letter, curriculum vitae, research summary of no more than five pages, a 10–15-page writing sample, and two or three recommendation letters. Applications are accepted annually, with the next deadline on January 15, 2027.
