Ric Martini Student Engagement Grant

About this program

Human Anatomy & Physiology Society (HAPS) offers the Ric Martini Student Engagement Grant, funded by a $100,000 endowment, to support programs that enhance engagement and performance in introductory (one- or two‑semester) anatomy & physiology courses. Awards provide up to $750 each (maximum of four awards) to fund class‑wide educational activities—such as field trips or enrichment experiences—and recipients must supply a brief activity description for HAPS communications. Eligible applicants are high school teachers (one award) and community college instructors (three awards) teaching entire introductory A&P classes; funds must be used for the full class rather than a select group. Applications are open with the next deadline in June 2026.
